The Alemannenweg

This is an easy to moderate long-distance, circular trail that runs through the Odenwald region of southwestern Germany. The trial is about 130 km long and is usually divided into seven stages It's official start is in the town of Michelstadt, though you can start anywhere because of it being circular. The trail can be hiked in any season, though you can get snow in the winter. There is plenty of accommodation and other services along the way, with each stage ending at or near a town or small village. The trail is relatively well-sign posted and maintained, though there is a major signage disruption at Fuchshutte Nature Car Park. Guide books are available in both English and German.
