E12: the Meditteranean Trail
The E12 is the latest addition to the European long distance trail network.
Work is in progress. You can get a taste of it in Italy, Marina di Camerota, South of Napoli. The trail will connect the Mediterranean coast and islands, such as Majorca, Corsica, Crete, Cyprus, Malta and Sardinia.

The FEDME is member of the European Ramblers' Organisation and looks after the 5 European Long Distance Paths crossing the countrY: E3, E4, E7, E10, E12.

Official website of the French Federation for Long Distance Hiking. Offering all you need for hiking in France. The FFRP maintains all long distance hikes - Grandes Randonnées - in France. The organisation participates in the European Ramblers' Organisation.
- FIE Italia - Federazione Italiana Escursionismo (Italiaans)
Federazione Italiana Escursionismo - Italian Hiking Federation. They maintain many of the long distance trails in Italy. The FIE is member of the European Ramblers' Organisation.
- Greek Federation of Mountaineering - Climbing (Grieks)
This is the national organisation for Greece for hikers and climbers. THe EOOA is member of the European Ramblers' Association. Three European Long Distance Trails cross Greece: the E4 and E6, and the planned E12.

E12 from Rome to Napoli
- Hi,
For weeks now, I've been trying to get an idea of my options hiking a part of the E12 route. I'm looking to hike from Naples to Rome, via the E12 route. However, I haven't been able to find any in depth information (as in description or maps) on the trail. Is there even a trail? All I've been able to is people saying the trail is under construction.
I'm stuck and I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction!
