Oak Ridge Moraine just north of Toronto, 275 km, 14 days

The Oak Ridges Moraine is a very large glacial deposit structure between Lake Ontaria and Lake Simcoe. The moraine gets its name from the rolling hills and river valleys, some 160 km east of the Niagara Escarpment. Recently, the character of this area is contested by urban developments.

The hiking trail is under development and currently some 275 km are finished. There is no overnight accommodation on the trail itself. But in the vicinity are B&B's hotels, etc. The trail connects to the Bruce Trail.
